Storm Academy directors wanted

Do you have an interest in ice hockey or grassroots sport? Do you have skills in finance, legal matters, media and social media, sport development or company administration? Would you like to join and help one of the most progressive junior clubs in the UK? We are recruiting directors to join the Manchester Storm Academy (MSA) to help with the running of the club over the coming years. We are seeking to establish a board made up of seven directors who, along with a Head Coach, will help guide the organisation. These positions will be elected at the club’s AGM and will be one, two or three year tenures.

The Storm Academy is one of the most exciting clubs in the country, run entirely by volunteers, with a track record of success through a focus on player development. The Academy has grown in recent years and we are now looking to improve the infrastructure of the club and need directors who will work with the committee to continue that growth. The board of directors will meet a minimum of four times year, this maybe virtually or in person, and will be responsible for overseeing the running of the Club.

A new Club Chair will be appointed from the group of seven directors, who will make up the new board following the AGM in July.

These will be shared amongst the Club’s membership prior to the AGM, so they can make a decision on who to vote for.
