2021 Elite Series Ice Hockey - Manchester Storm

2 Apr 2021 by Alex Kilpatrick

This weekend is the start of the 2021 Elite Ice Hockey Series which will see four teams taking part in a five-week competition. The Coventry Blaze, Sheffield Steelers, Nottingham Panthers and most importantly the Manchester Storm will contest a regular season with 24 games in total, culminating in a best-of-three Playoff Final series.

The players for each of the teams were selected through a combination of protected picks and then an exciting draft system that saw players chosen in an NHL style process. You can check out the Manchester Storm roster for the series at https://www.manchesterstorm.com/elite-series-2021-roster/ which includes the older brother of Max and Lydia Lutwyche who play for the Academy Under 13s and 15s.

All games will be played at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham and will be available to watch online. The first game takes place this Saturday, when Manchester Storm play against the Coventry Blaze at 2 pm and following this there will be games every few days. As part of our players ongoing learning and to show further support for the Manchester Storm Elite Team it would be great to get your son or daughter to watch at least one of the games during the series.

There are various streaming packages available which cater for watching a one-off game, multiple games or the entire series. Information on this can be found at the following link https://www.eliteleague.tv/
